Tips For Remodeling

I read an article discussing the most important tips for homeowners embarking on the home remodeling adventure.  As professionals, we strive for excellence, professionalism, integrity, and craftsmanship.  Hence, the name…In doing so, many of these tips exist within our daily culture and interpersonal relations with our customers.  Sharing this useful information provides a platform for homeowners to build upon and learn from while finding the perfect building contractor for the next home project.
  1.          Talk to previous customers and ask questions about their unique experience.  In fact, E. P. I. C. Home Professionals, LLC encourages such interactions by providing each potential new client with a list of references.  Additionally, we encourage current customers to write positive reviews about our work on Talk of the Villages (TOTV), and we refer potential customers to TOTV to read what others are saying about us.
  2.           Request a detailed estimate that includes the scope of work.  We meet with our customers to discuss the project on a free estimate and provide an initial estimate detailing what will be performed.  Once we schedule a project, we consistently communicate with the homeowners and build lasting relationships.  Many of our customers are repeat customers, and many referrals come from word of mouth.  We keep our customers informed of schedules and any changes on an ongoing basis.
  3.          Know your reason for completing your renovation project.  So often we meet homeowners that do not have a clear picture of the end result they are hoping to achieve.  While we offer some insight, ultimately, the homeowner must know if the reason for the project lies in personal desires for long-term comfort in his/her home or if it is a means to turn a profit.  Your reason becomes your palette for design and material selections.
  4.           Ask questions.  Sam has 27 years of building experience in both new construction and remodeling.  He is 3rd generation builder, crafting alongside his grandfather and his father.  He earned his contractor license in 2010 and has been in business for himself since.  August 2013, Villages Home Professionals, LLC was formed and later changed the name to E. P. I. C. Home Professionals, LLC in June 2016.  Tara earned a Bachelor's Degree from St. Leo University in business management and Masters of Business Administration at Keiser University finishing in the top 20% of her class, earning a place in the International Honor Society. Tara has a passion for business and influencing people through positive interactions. She spent much of her career in leadership roles in the long-term care community. Sam and Tara merged their experience as builder and manager to create a successful family owned and operated business.  We specialize in remodeling projects including: lanai conversions/additions, kitchens, bathrooms, decks, patios/outdoor kitchens, doors and windows, custom trim such as wainscoting, cabinetry, painting, and other home renovations on an individual basis.  We are licensed, bonded, and insured.
  5.           Trust your gut!  Can you trust the contractor?  From the moment we answer the phone to the completion of the project, we build relationships.  We use consistent sub-contractors with proven quality and work history.  We oversee all of our projects and coordinate our schedule to ensure quality outcomes.  We earn trust through honest communication and follow through on commitments.  We strive for mutual respect and personal accountability.
